In Memoriam: Richard William Threet, MD (Nov. 12, 1947 - Sept. 30, 2014)

Richard William Threet was the son of Ella Hobbs and William Threet. He grew up on a ranch in Archer City, Texas.

He was an amazing individual, always striving to excel. At a young age, he achieved Eagle Scout, and was the lead person in his school band at Archer City High School. He eventually achieved All State in band (played the tuba).

Richard married his high school sweetheart, Jan, and had three wonderful sons: Damon (a gifted artist), Derek (an attorney), and Daron (an attorney). Richard always strived towards academia, and he was a Pharmacist, Physician (OB/GYN), Attorney, and Cordon Bleu-trained chef.

He was amazing. Highly motivated. He eventually married his wife, Ingrid Wilson, RN, and adopted her daughter, Sarah Ashley. He was a loving and devoted husband. Richard was Ingrid's "rock," and she loved him dearly. He was a dependable and loving father to Sarah. He always stood by their sides. He was a friend to many and a humble, kind gentleman. He will not be forgotten by those whom dearly loved him.
