Christine Himes Fordyce, Chair

Professional background: Semi-retired MD; primary care and Geriatrics specialties at Group Health Permanente for 30 years and Kaiser Permanente locum tenens since 2016. Career administrative roles included Director of Geriatrics, Medicare Medical Director and Healthy Aging Medical Director. Book and video collaborations, national speaker on topics of aging and geriatric systems of care. National mentor for geriatric/Medicare leaders in health systems.

Bob Jarmick
Resides in South Seattle
Education: BA in Agriculture and Masters in Adult and Continuing Education, Career Planning Emphasis, Washington State University. Ph.C. Rehabilitation, University of Washington.
Professional Background: Retired. Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Boeing Industrial Athlete Program IAM CREST, Virginia Mason Medical Center (Pain Management, Neuro-Rehab Head Injury, Manager Hospital Rehabilitation Unit), private practice, etc. Director, Worker Retraining, Seattle Community Colleges. Associate Director, Career Planning and Placement, Seattle University.

Gigi Meinig
Resides in Seattle
Professional Background: Gigi Meinig began her 35-year career in the field of aging at the Seattle King County Area Agency on Aging where she supported the Medicaid Case Management Program, staffed the KC Aging and Disability Service Advisory Council, negotiated, and wrote aging service contracts. She received both her undergraduate degree in psychology/education and master’s degree in public administration at the University of Washington.

She continues to maintain an interest in healthy living and has been a Group Health and Kaiser Permanente member for 30 years. She joined the senior caucus several years ago and became a member of the health care committee. She now serves as board secretary.

Gigi is a caregiver for her husband and cares for her grandchild. They participate in lifetime fitness at the Central Area Senior Center. She is also involved with a few community groups including the Washington Senior Lobby, PSARA, and several arts programs.

Evan Prenovitz, Vice Chair
Resides in Seattle
Education: BA Psychology, State University of New York
Professional background: Retired. Worked as Program Manager and Student Counseling Services Coordinator at University of Washington before ending career at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as a Research Administrator. Created a business using yoga and meditation to teach stress management in varied settings. Currently, volunteering for Ronald McDonald House and Seattle Parks and Rec.

Jay Sundahl
Resides in Shoreline
Education: BA in Mathematics and Computer Science, Western Washington University
Professional Background: Retired Software Developer, Pacific NW Bell, Comm+, USWest, Sundahl Systems Solutions, Inc., Legent/CA. Worked in payroll, data communications and systems management. Served on several GHC committees including Northgate Medical Center Council, Standing Nominating Committee, Senior Caucus, and the Cooperative Development Committee. Part of Echo Lake Neighborhood Assn. board.

Carlye Teel
Resides in Mukilteo
Education: General studies, major sociology, University of Washington
Professional Background: Executive Director Ballard NW Senior Center for 30+ years including 10 as Director of Greenwood Senior Center simultaneously. Active volunteer with GHC. Served as vice chair and chair of the Senior Caucus. I served on the appeal s committee, the cooperative development and medical technology committees and was elected to the District Council. Served on the Ballard Chamber board, Ballard Hospital board and part of team that founded Senior Right’s Assistance program for the Junior League and Victim Witness program for the City of Seattle. Rotarian and current president of HOA board.

Pegge Till
Resides in Seattle
Education: BS Sociology, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; Masters in Health Administration, University of Washington
Professional background: Mostly retired. Worked with federal education programs for 25 years – primarily in the fields of handicapped education and anti-poverty programs -- both in Washington DC and in the Seattle Regional Office. Then opened my business providing advice and training to colleges, universities and professional organizations. Became involved with Group Health Cooperative (GHC) governance, serving three terms as a GHC Board Trustee and seven years on GHC’s Foundation Board. Served on the KPWA Senior Caucus Board since 2018.

All board members are volunteers.
