It's hard to believe the summer has passed so quickly and we are now onto the fall season. We hope all of you had a great summer, filled with wonderful memories.
Here is what is happening at ARMS:
Financial Online Seminar with Charles Schwab - Tues Oct 17, 11am - 12pm. We will be sponsoring a virtual webinar by Charles Schwab on post-retirement finances. They administer the GH/Kaiser retirement products. This seminar will address general aspects about finance in retirement. The information was sent out to you by email and is on our website under the “Events” section with the Zoom link for those interested in attending. You can send questions in prior to the meeting to WPMGretirees@kp.org and these will be sent to Charles Schwab.
Fall ARMS Luncheon - Wed Nov 8, 11am - 2pm, Cedarbrook Lodge. We hope you can join us, either in person or virtually, for our final luncheon for this year. We're excited that Dr. Eric Larson will be our speaker. Eric recently retired from the Kaiser Research Institute and last talked to our group in 2017. He will present an update on his ongoing “Adult Changes in Thought” research as well as some thoughts on healthcare systems in the US. Invitations will go out soon.
UpToDate - After multiple attempts by Dr. Grice and our staff, Kelly Shaw, our request for access to UpToDate has been unsuccessful. It seemed promising initially, but the system had too many obstacles to make the process easy. Thank you for your patience with us.
Now we have an ask for you - we need your help to build a strong foundation for future retirees and ARMS. We want to build a committee of interested people to help us.
Do you have expertise in building and maintaining websites? You may have noticed that our website is not as user-friendly as you might like. If you have interest and expertise to help revise, update, and maintain the ARMS website, we would love to have you on our team.
Do you have a knack for arranging and developing events? We would love to have more help on our team to arrange for speakers for our future luncheons as well as develop other events for our members.
Please let us know if you have interest or questions about either position or if you are interested in becoming more active in another aspect of ARMS via WPMGretirees@kp.org.
Finally, we want to welcome and congratulate our new ARMS retirees for 2023. Hopefully, we have not missed anyone; if so, please let us know.
