In Memoriam: Pat Bennett, MD (June 6, 1925 - Aug. 16, 2022)

Patrick Bennett was born on June 6, 1925 in Ireland and passed away peacefully on August 16, 2022 in Seattle, WA.

Patrick is survived by his lovely wife of 32 years, Emily, and his devoted children: John (Judy) Bennett, Mary Bennett, Jacinta (Roger) Tegman, Joseph (Susan) Bennett, Angela (Patricia Throop) Bennett; and his stepdaughters Brenda (Mac) Cuthburtson, and Lisa (Erik) Munson. Patrick was also blessed with eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was a beloved uncle and cousin to his many relatives still living in Ireland.

Patrick was the youngest of six siblings, born and raised on the family dairy farm "Graigacurra" in Limerick, Ireland. After attending a seminary, he left and obtained his medical degree and worked at Group Health for 32 years.

Patrick loved his family and was a devoted father. He was a parishioner and lector at St. Luke and later St. Mark Catholic Churches in Shoreline. He also devoted hundreds of hours serving in the Chief Seattle homeless mission and as a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul.

In 1990, Patrick married Emily. They enjoyed a loving relationship and an active lifestyle filled with travel, golf, opera, long walks, and social gatherings with their many friends.

Patrick's family will long remember his mischievous sense of humor, a remarkable memory, and his love of history and music.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle/King County.
