In Memoriam: Robert (Robb) H. Osborn, MD (Nov. 17, 1941 - May 26, 2023)

Dr. Robert Osborn passed away on May 26, 2023. Born on November 17, 1941 in Dexter, Iowa, he is survived by his wife Jean Osborn; children Ruth Vangel, Marcus Osborn, Meredith Jones, and Matthew Osborn. Grandchildren include Jessica and Miranda Vangel, Abigail and Cassidy Jones, and Logan and Olivia Osborn.

Robb met his wife, Jean, at the University of Iowa where he also earned a B.S and M.D. He and Jean married in 1965.

From 1971-72 Robb completed two years of service in the Navy based in Virginia. In 1973 the family moved to Bellevue, WA where Robb practiced OB-GYN at Group Health Cooperative until his retirement in 2002. He estimated he delivered approximately 6,000 babies. He and Jean moved to Port Orchard, WA in 2002.

Outside of medical practice, Robb enjoyed his children's activities, singing in the church choir, participating in professional and service organizations, boating, and travel - visiting at least 65 countries.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 25th at 2:00 pm at the Port Orchard United Methodist Church, 725 Kitsap St. in Port Orchard, WA
